Description

Urine Sugar (Glucose) is a routine urinalysis test used to detect the presence of glucose in urine. Under normal conditions, glucose is filtered by the kidneys and completely reabsorbed, resulting in no detectable glucose in urine. The presence of glucose (glycosuria) may indicate uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, renal tubular disorders, pregnancy, or conditions causing transient hyperglycemia. This test is commonly included in routine urine examination and diabetes screening.
