Urine Routine Examination (Urine R/E) is a fundamental screening test that analyzes the physical, chemical, and microscopic properties of urine to assess overall health and detect urinary tract infections, kidney disorders, diabetes, liver disease, and metabolic abnormalities. This test evaluates parameters such as color, clarity, pH, specific gravity, protein, glucose, ketones, blood, bilirubin, urobilinogen, nitrite, leukocyte esterase, and microscopic elements like RBCs, WBCs, epithelial cells, casts, crystals, bacteria, and yeast.

Urine R/E is widely used as a first-line, non-invasive diagnostic tool in routine health checkups, fever workups, pregnancy care, renal evaluation, and monitoring of systemic diseases.
