Urine pH is a routine urine test that measures the acidity or alkalinity of urine. It helps assess kidney function, metabolic balance, urinary tract infections, and risk of kidney stone formation. Urine pH reflects dietary habits, systemic acid–base status, and certain medical conditions such as renal tubular acidosis or urinary infections caused by urea-splitting bacteria.
