Urine Culture & Sensitivity (C&S) is a microbiological test used to identify disease-causing bacteria or fungi in urine and determine the most effective antibiotics for treatment. The test involves quantitative culture to measure colony forming units (CFU/mL) and an antibiotic susceptibility test (antibiogram) to guide targeted therapy.

It is the gold standard for diagnosing urinary tract infections (UTIs), recurrent infections, complicated UTIs, catheter-associated infections, pregnancy UTIs, and infections not responding to empirical therapy.
