Uric Acid – Spot Urine test measures the concentration of uric acid excreted in a random urine sample. It helps evaluate purine metabolism, assess the risk of uric acid kidney stones, monitor gout, and investigate causes of hyperuricemia or renal tubular disorders.

This test is clinically useful when interpreted with serum uric acid and, when required, urine creatinine (for uric acid/creatinine ratio).
