Description

TPHA – Titre is a quantitative treponemal antibody test used to measure the antibody level (titre) against Treponema pallidum, the causative organism of syphilis. It helps confirm syphilis infection and may assist in assessing disease stage when interpreted with clinical findings and non-treponemal tests such as VDRL or RPR. Unlike VDRL/RPR, TPHA titres typically remain positive for life after infection.
