Description

SS-B/La Antibody is a blood test used to detect autoantibodies directed against the SS-B (La) antigen. It is primarily associated with autoimmune connective tissue disorders, especially Sjögren’s syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The presence of SS-B/La antibodies helps support diagnosis, evaluate disease activity, and assess risk of neonatal lupus in pregnant women. This test is commonly performed alongside SS-A/Ro antibodies and ANA testing.
