SS-A/Ro Antibody (IO0108)

Description

SS-A/Ro Antibody is a blood test used to detect autoantibodies directed against the SS-A (Ro) antigen. It is strongly associated with autoimmune connective tissue disorders, particularly Sjögren’s syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The presence of SS-A/Ro antibodies supports diagnosis, helps assess disease activity, and is important in pregnancy due to the risk of neonatal lupus and congenital heart block. This test is commonly performed alongside SS-B/La antibodies and ANA testing as part of an ENA panel.
