Pus Cells (WBCs) (CP0053)

Description

Pus Cells (WBCs) in urine refer to the presence of white blood cells detected during urine microscopy. Their presence, known as pyuria, commonly indicates urinary tract infection (UTI), kidney infection, or inflammatory conditions of the urinary system. Quantification of pus cells helps assess severity of infection and guides further diagnostic evaluation such as urine culture and sensitivity testing.
