Description

Prolactin (PRL) is a blood test used to measure the level of prolactin, a hormone produced by the anterior pituitary gland that plays a key role in lactation and reproductive function. This test is commonly used to evaluate infertility, menstrual irregularities, galactorrhea, erectile dysfunction, and suspected pituitary disorders such as prolactinoma.
