Phosphorus (Serum) (BC0105)

Description

Phosphorus (Serum) is a blood test used to measure the level of inorganic phosphorus in the bloodstream, an essential mineral involved in bone mineralization, energy production (ATP), cell membrane integrity, and acid–base balance. This test is commonly used in the evaluation of kidney disease, parathyroid disorders, bone metabolism abnormalities, vitamin D deficiency, and electrolyte imbalances. Serum phosphorus levels are often interpreted alongside calcium, parathyroid hormone (PTH), and vitamin D levels.
