Description

Pap Smear – Liquid Based Cytology (LBC) is a cervical screening test used to detect precancerous changes, cervical cancer, and infections of the cervix. In LBC, cervical cells are collected and preserved in a liquid medium, allowing improved sample quality, reduced obscuring material, and more accurate cytological evaluation compared to conventional Pap smears. This test plays a key role in early detection and prevention of cervical cancer and can also be used for HPV testing if required.
