Platelet Large Cell Ratio (P-LCR) measures the percentage of large platelets (usually >12 fL) in peripheral blood. It is reported as part of advanced platelet indices in a Complete Blood Count (CBC). P-LCR reflects platelet production, activation, and bone marrow response. Elevated P-LCR may indicate increased platelet turnover, inflammatory conditions, or recovery from thrombocytopenia. It is interpreted alongside platelet count, MPV, PDW, and P-LCC.
