Platelet Large Cell Count (P-LCC) measures the absolute number of large platelets (typically >12 fL) present in peripheral blood. It is reported as part of advanced platelet indices in a Complete Blood Count (CBC). P-LCC reflects platelet production and activation status and is useful in evaluating thrombocytopenia, bone marrow response, inflammatory states, and myeloproliferative disorders. It is interpreted alongside platelet count, MPV, and PDW.
