NRBC% (Nucleated Red Blood Cell Percentage) measures the proportion of nucleated red blood cells present in peripheral blood. NRBCs are immature red blood cells normally found in bone marrow and not typically seen in adult circulation. Their presence in peripheral blood may indicate severe infection, hypoxia, bone marrow stress, hemolytic anemia, or hematological malignancies. NRBC% is reported as part of advanced Complete Blood Count (CBC) analysis using automated hematology analyzers.
