Description

Monocytes are a type of white blood cell (WBC) that play a key role in immune defense by engulfing pathogens and removing dead cells. The monocyte percentage (%) is measured as part of the Complete Blood Count (CBC) with Differential and reflects the proportion of monocytes among total white blood cells. Abnormal levels may indicate chronic infections, inflammatory disorders, autoimmune diseases, or hematological conditions.
