Description

Malaria Detection PCR is a highly sensitive molecular test used to detect Plasmodium DNA in blood samples. It enables accurate confirmation of malaria infection, species identification (P. falciparum, P. vivax, P. malariae, P. ovale, and P. knowlesi), and detection of low-level parasitemia that may be missed by microscopy or rapid antigen tests. PCR is especially useful in complicated cases, mixed infections, post-treatment monitoring, and epidemiological studies.
