Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) – Fluid is a biochemical test used to measure LDH levels in body fluids such as pleural, peritoneal (ascitic), pericardial, or cerebrospinal fluid. This test is primarily used to differentiate exudative from transudative effusions, evaluate inflammation, infection, malignancy, and tissue injury, and support diagnosis in conditions affecting body cavities. LDH fluid analysis is commonly interpreted alongside serum LDH and other fluid parameters.
