Hyaline Casts are clear, colorless cylindrical structures formed from Tamm-Horsfall protein secreted by renal tubular epithelial cells. They are detected during urine sediment microscopy and may appear in small numbers in healthy individuals. Increased hyaline casts may indicate dehydration, fever, strenuous exercise, or early renal stress. This parameter is evaluated as part of Routine Urine Examination (R/E) to assess kidney function and urinary abnormalities.
