HDL / LDL Ratio is a calculated lipid profile parameter used to evaluate cardiovascular risk by comparing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (good cholesterol) to low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (bad cholesterol). A higher HDL/LDL ratio indicates better cardiovascular protection, while a lower ratio suggests increased risk of atherosclerosis, heart disease, and stroke. This ratio provides additional insight beyond individual cholesterol values.
