Giemsa Stain (MIC021)

Description

The Giemsa Stain is a specialized microscopic staining technique used to examine body fluid specimens for microorganisms, parasites, inflammatory cells, and abnormal cellular morphology. The stain enhances cellular detail and is useful in identifying certain intracellular organisms such as Leishmania, Plasmodium (malaria parasites), and occasionally other infectious agents, depending on the specimen type. It also assists in evaluating inflammatory and hematological changes in body fluids.
