Gastrin Level is a blood test used to measure the concentration of gastrin, a hormone produced by G cells in the stomach that stimulates gastric acid secretion. This test is primarily used in the evaluation of hypergastrinemia, Zollinger–Ellison syndrome (gastrinoma), peptic ulcer disease, chronic atrophic gastritis, and suspected pernicious anemia. Gastrin levels must be interpreted alongside gastric pH and clinical findings.
