Description

GAD65 Antibody is a blood test used to detect antibodies against Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase 65 (GAD65), an enzyme involved in insulin production. It is primarily used in the diagnosis of autoimmune diabetes, including Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus and Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults (LADA). GAD65 antibodies may also be associated with certain neurological autoimmune disorders. This test helps differentiate autoimmune diabetes from Type 2 diabetes.
