Description

Fluid Urea is a laboratory test used to measure the concentration of urea in body fluids such as pleural fluid, ascitic fluid, pericardial fluid, or other sterile body fluids. It is useful in evaluating fluid accumulation, differentiating transudative and exudative effusions, and assessing possible urine leak (urinoma) or renal-related conditions. Fluid urea levels are typically interpreted alongside serum urea and creatinine values.
