Estriol (Unconjugated) is a blood test used to measure the level of unconjugated estriol (uE3), an estrogen hormone produced during pregnancy by the placenta and fetus. It is commonly included in the Triple Marker or Quadruple Marker screening test to assess the risk of chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome (Trisomy 21) and Edwards syndrome (Trisomy 18). Abnormal levels may indicate fetal or placental concerns and require further evaluation.
