Description

Epithelial Cells in stool are detected during microscopic examination as part of routine stool analysis. These cells originate from the lining of the intestinal mucosa and are normally shed in small numbers. Increased epithelial cells may indicate intestinal irritation, inflammation, infection, or mucosal damage. Their presence is interpreted alongside pus cells, RBCs, mucus, and parasites for accurate gastrointestinal diagnosis.
