Cellular Casts are cylindrical structures formed in the renal tubules that contain embedded cells such as red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells (WBCs), or renal tubular epithelial cells. They are detected during urine sediment microscopy and indicate underlying kidney pathology. The presence of cellular casts is clinically significant and often suggests renal inflammation, infection, or glomerular disease. This parameter is evaluated as part of Routine Urine Examination (R/E).
