Description

CA 72-4 detects circulating TAG-72 (Tumor Associated Glycoprotein-72), a high–molecular weight mucin expressed by several adenocarcinomas. It is most useful as a tumor marker for gastric (stomach) cancer and also has value in mucinous ovarian carcinoma.
