The Anti–Beta 2 Glycoprotein I IgM test detects IgM antibodies against Beta-2 Glycoprotein I, a protein involved in normal blood clotting. The presence of these antibodies may indicate Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), an autoimmune disorder associated with an increased risk of abnormal blood clots, recurrent pregnancy loss, stroke, and other thrombotic complications. This test is commonly performed alongside Beta-2 Glycoprotein I IgG, Lupus Anticoagulant, and Anti-Cardiolipin Antibodies for a comprehensive APS evaluation.
