ASO Quantitative (Antistreptolysin O) measures antibodies formed against streptolysin O produced by Streptococcus pyogenes. It helps identify recent streptococcal infection when throat culture is no longer positive.

This test supports evaluation of complications like Rheumatic fever and Post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis. Results in IU/mL help monitor antibody titers and guide clinical correlation.
