Adenosine Deaminase (ADA), FLUID ( BC0023A )

Description

ADA (Adenosine Deaminase) is an enzyme involved in purine metabolism and T-lymphocyte activity. Measuring ADA in pleural, ascitic, pericardial, or other body fluids is highly useful for supporting the diagnosis of tuberculous effusions and lymphocyte-predominant inflammation.

Adenosine Deaminase (ADA) Fluid measured by enzymatic colorimetric method supports diagnosis of tuberculous pleural, ascitic, or pericardial effusions. Elevated ADA reflects T-cell–mediated immunity and, when combined with lymphocyte count and biochemistry, helps differentiate TB from malignancy or transudative fluids.
